Ginkgo tree

Ginkgo biloba (Maidenhair tree) is a very ancient plant native to China. This tree is surrounded by a certain mysticism because of its ability to live (and survive) for over 3000 years. In the Japanese city of Hiroshima, six ginkgo trees survived the radiations caused by the atomic bomb that hit the city in 1945. They still exist to this day. This fascinating plant catches your eye with its unique look during the warmer seasons, but it becomes truly spectacular in autumn, when its leaves paint a wonderful golden shade of yellow.

About us

In 1912 a wonderful house was built in the heart of the little village of Ronchis. Over a century, many generations and owners later, we decided to transform this cosy home into a destination for travellers from around the globe. The main building hosts four bedrooms and a large breakfast room. During the renovation, which took place in 2020, we decided to honour the unique personality of the building. We paid attention to every small detail, shining a light on those features that symbolise the very soul of the house – like the exposed wooden beams in the top floor bedrooms and some antique bits of furniture. That’s how Ginkgo Guest House was born, taking its name from the majestic tree in the middle of the garden.
